Revolutions

4 comments:

  1. The Revolution in Egypt has sparked many things. It's given other countries in the Middle East inspiration to move forward. To move forward and to have the country make something of themselves. In Iraq, people are following the examples of the Revolution in Egypt, but there are a few differences. In Iraq, they have begun their protesting for a new leader, but they've gone south. 20 protesters were killed in a "Day of rage". Though they tried to do this peacefully, like any protest in Iraq, things spiraled down.

  2. The Revolution in Egypt and Liberia have taught other countries how to fight for their independence and democracy through social media sites such as face book and blogs. In Yemen the government stated that they would not join a unity government. Thousands of protestors continued to demonstrate their frustration and demanding the Presidents resignation. The human rights watch accused security forces and supporters of the President for beating journalists. They are trying to limit the publicity about this global issue. However, these revolutions are a must and are making the world a better place... one Democracy at a time.

  3. The good news that is currently going on in Tunisia is the new, 84 year old longtime liberal, prime minster BeijCaid-Essebsi. Even though this is great news, I feel that is won't last long with the new prime minister being late in age and will take years for the country to be a democratic country, away from it's current weak state. Apart from this, the chief of the World Food Program visited the country to assist in the need for food to the thousands of people who entered the country in trying to escape the troubles in Libya.

  4. As Rebellion Spreads in Lybia, Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi ordder thousands of troops to take control of the situation. With the uprising of revolutions the rebels along with the people of Lybia are going against Muammar's dictatorship. Armed rebels are fighting back, and when the United States is questioning whether to intervene Muammar threatens us with war. Although, rebels have taken some cities the death to is impossible to determine, The Human rights groups say they have confirmed about 300 deaths. So as of right now there is a constant struggle for power. Should the United states get tangled in foriegn issues or should we stand by and wait as the poeple fight their dictator for power.
